Sinergia Advisory Services was founded by the current firm Managing Partner, Ozurumba Afigbo who provides leadership for all our project teams.
Our project teams comprise competent and experienced consultants, who are constituted on a project by project basis based on the specific needs of each mandate.
The Managing Partner’s personal profile is as follows:
Ozurumba has about 21 years of working experience spanning the areas of Business Advisory, Audit and Financial Advisory services, Corporate Finance and Privatization as well as Venture Capital and Private Equity investing.
He was the Head of Ventures Business Advisory (Non-Financial Services) in Nextzon, where he was in charge of executing strategy, operational improvement and organizational re-engineering and re-development projects.
In particular, he has also been very active in advising core investors in Nigeria’s Privatization program,
and worked with one of the Government owned Telecom companies to prepare their five year business plan in preparation for privatization. In the area of business incubation, Ozurumba has championed the incubation of at least fifteen different enterprises in business segments ranging from epayments, logistics to manufacturing. He participated in the United States National Bureau Incubation Association (NBIA) conference on operational Business Incubators, which held in Denver, Colorado in 2006.
Before joining Nextzon, he worked in HEIRS Alliance Group as General Manager, HEIRS Capital Limited. HEIRS Capital Limited was the manager of the SME funds for a group comprising inter-alia two medium-large size banks in Nigeria. Before HEIRS Alliance Ozurumba worked with the African Capital Alliance group (Nigeria’s premier Private Equity and Venture Capital group) in their SME Investing arm, SME Manager Limited, where he was specifically involved in investments in the areas of Healthcare, Cash Management, Manufacturing and Real Estate.
Prior to joining African Capital Alliance, he had worked in First Atlantic Bank Plc, in their Capital Markets and Corporate Finance group, where he worked as a member of the team of professional advisers to the Bureau for Public Enterprise (BPE) on a number of privatization briefs.
He commenced his working life at the global professional services Firm Arthur Andersen, where he spent about six years in the Audit group with a primary focus on clients in the energy sector of the Nigerian economy.
Ozurumba is a Chartered Accountant (and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) and has a Second Class Upper Division, Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
